The Attorney personally and professionally supports the vision and mission of the law firm. The primary responsibility of the attorney is to provide counsel for clients seeking advice and counsel on legal services provided by the law firm. Attorneys are the central focus to the law firm’s success. The firm relies on them to be able to identify client’s needs and offer various legal options to achieve them all in accordance with established law firm offerings and processes to deliver them. Attorney must be knowledgeable and skilled in designing, implementing, and communicating with support staff to deliver the legal work. The most important role is to ensure the firm is hired and its reputation in the community is maintained at highest regard. The attorney must also be adept at creating professional and community relationships that send referrals to the firm. The Attorney works independently and collaborates with the law firm’s leadership and staff to foster a team spirit in cooperation with the law firm management. All law firm employees must always maintain confidentiality with regard to clients, firm interest, and employees. The attorney may perform other duties as necessary to keep the production and administrative functions of the firm operating smoothly and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain professional and community relationships that regularly refer prospects to the firm.
  • Skilled in listening and issues identification and be able to show prospects the value we can provide so they willingly engage us.
  • Provide quality customer service to clients, potential clients, and their families.
  • Highly skilled in Estate Planning, Asset Planning, Elder Law and Benefits Eligibility Planning  offer by law firm.
  • Attend training events and other events as needed to stay on top of changes in legal offerings.
  • Adhere to all law firm systems and processes in delivering legal work to clients.
  • Willingness to travel to remote law firm locations or to client homes, hospitals etc. when required by management.
  • Manage and oversee all client matters they are assigned and assist on matters not assigned when required by management.
  • Oversight of Probate and Trust Administration Paralegal(s), Medicaid Paralegal(s), Drafting Paralegal and Funding Coordinator to ensure completed as required to accomplish legal service provided.

Qualifications Required Academic:

  •  J.D. degree
  • State licensed attorney

Skills/Knowledge & Ability:

  • Above average administrative/clerical/technical skills, and the ability to operate necessary office equipment and software;
    o Computer, Telephone, Fax, Scanner, Copier, Postage Meter
    o Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Publisher, Power Point)

  • Type proficiently and accurately at a minimum of 35 to 40 words per minute.
  • Knowledge, skills and ability to perform functions and develop administrative procedures and systems to manage all task at hand such as;
    o documenting information
    o word processing (dictation, correspondence, memos, etc…)
    o data entry and verification
    o managing files
    o project management
    o designing forms, training and/or marketing materials
    o drafting legal documents
  • Skilled at formatting and communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Ability to understand the written word, sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Highly developed time management, organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to multitask with clarity; facilitating several projects at the same time with the ability to monitor and assess one’s own self.
  • Skilled at getting information by observing, receiving and/or researching to obtain information from relevant sources.
  • Knowledgeable and able to evaluate information to determine compliance with standards.
  • Able to remember information such as words, numbers and procedures.
  • Professional level communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Able to listen (give full attention to what other people are saying), be empathetic and influence other people in written or verbal forms
  • Creatively presenting and disseminating information and concepts in an effective manner.
  • Remain current with ever changing technology.
  • Remain current with ever changing tax laws
  • Demonstrate aptitude for working in sensitive environments requiring a high degree of confidentiality.

  • Percentage of prospects hired/average fee hired/total revenue generated
  • Completion of work required to earn fee timely to meet cashflow needs
