Special Fair for Those with Special Needs
Hosted at Burlington High School, Racine County Special Needs Resource Fair has become a trusted hub for information, support, and connection for individuals and families navigating the world of disabilities and long‑term care.
At its heart, the Racine County Special Needs Resource Fair is designed with one purpose in mind to connect individuals and families with essential services that support children, young adults, and adults with disabilities.
A Welcoming Space for Everyone
Burlington High School transforms into a vibrant, inclusive environment where everyone can move at their own pace and feel genuinely supported. Volunteers greet attendees with warmth, resource tables are thoughtfully arranged for easy navigation, and interactive activities help make the event accessible and engaging for individuals of all ages and abilities.
The fair’s atmosphere is one of understanding and encouragement. Families often share that simply being in a room full of people who “get it” who understand the complexities, joys, and daily realities of caring for someone with special needs is both comforting and empowering.
Why This Fair Matters
For many individuals and families, finding the right support can feel overwhelming. Services are spread across agencies, eligibility rules can be confusing, and it’s not always clear where to begin. The Racine County Special Needs Resource Fair helps bridge that gap by offering:
- Direct access to knowledgeable professionals
- Hands‑on demonstrations and informational materials
- Opportunities to ask questions in a comfortable, judgment‑free environment
- Exposure to services families may not have known existed
- A sense of community and shared understanding
As part of this year’s fair, Elder Advisors Law team members are proud to once again participate in another event that stands as a testament to what can happen when a community comes together with purpose. It is a demonstration of resilience, a gathering of shared knowledge, and a reminder that every individual and family deserves access to the support that helps them or their loved ones.
