Philanthropy

Elder Advisors Law collective and individual philanthropic activities extend beyond financial contributions. It also involves volunteerism and raising awareness for the following charitable causes.

Alzheimer’s Association

Alzheimer’s work is a year-round effort for the team at Elder Advisors Law. We regularly give out free resources to people living with the disease and their families.

The Alzheimer’s Association® is the leading voluntary health organization for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Founded in 1980 by a group of family caregivers and individuals interested in research, the Association has a home office in Chicago, a public policy office in Washington, D.C., and a presence in communities across the country.

Worldwide, more than 55 million people are living with dementia. In the United States alone, more than 7 million have Alzheimer’s, and over 11 million are providing unpaid care. The Association addresses this crisis by providing education and support to the millions who face dementia every day while advancing critical research toward methods of treatment, prevention, and, ultimately, a cure.

Boys & Girls Club of Janesville

The Boys & Girls Club of Janesville mission is to inspire and enable all youth, especially those who need us most.

The Boys & Girls Club of Janesville has been helping local youth get the educational resources they deserve and providing a safe place for families to take their children when they are not in school. The need for afterschool care is in high demand in our community, and the Boys & Girls Club of Janesville programming is affordable for all families.

While at the Club, members participate in STEM, art, and literacy activities, receive mentoring from our staff, build strong relationships with their peers, and learn about healthy eating habits.

The Boys & Girls Club of Janesville teens learn about future career opportunities and have the chance to explore colleges and what their future might look like.

GIFTS Men’s Shelter

GIFTS is an abbreviation that stands for God Is Faithful Temporary Shelter. GIFTS Men’s Shelter is a Christ-centered ministry that provides the resources needed to transform and restore the lives of homeless men one day at a time. Its mission is to provide safe shelter, warm meals, and Christ-centered camaraderie to homeless men in Rock County, Wisconsin.

In addition to shelter and meal services, GIFTS Men’s Shelter offers daily devotional services and educational programming, allowing the men to rebuild their life skills, address addiction issues, and prepare to re-enter the workforce. Through GIFTS Men’s Shelter’s on-site mentors and community service provider visits, their guests can progress at a pace comfortable with their situation while being held accountable for owning their path forward.

It’s amazing to see that not only do GIFTS Men’s Shelter volunteers have the power to influence those they serve, but their leadership skills are also developed in the process of serving.
